Flight Availability by Route

Welcome to Flight Availability! This tool can be used in a Basic or Advanced mode and will allow you to query for the available seating of flights that meet your route criteria.

Basic Mode

To use Flight Availability in its Basic mode provide your Departure airport, Arrival airport, Departure Date & Time, choice of Cabin, and number of Seats (optional), then click the Go button. FlightStats will then query its flight availability data sources and return an availability results list of several flight options that meet your route criteria.

Advanced Mode

To use Flight Availability in its Advanced mode first click the 'Advanced' link located at the top-right of the Flight Availability Widget. In the Advanced mode you can specify the following additional criteria...

• Query Type - Selecting 'Departure' will cause the tool to find flights departing at the date & time provided. Selecting 'Arrival' will cause the tool to find flights arriving at the provided date & time.


• Airline - This criteria will cause the tool to only find flights marketed by the airline provided. This is optional.


• Forced Connection - This criteria will cause the tool to find flights that always connect in the airport specified, even when direct flights are available. This is optional.


• Excluded Connections - This criteria will cause the tool to find flights that never connect in the specified airports. For example, entering 'ORD,MDW,' will ensure none of the flights found connect in O'Hare International or Midway Airport. This is optional.


• Fare Classes - This criteria will cause the tool to find flights that include at least one of the fare classes specified. For example, entering 'M,Q' will ensure that all of the flights found have the M fare class, the Q fare class, or both. If the Seats criteria is provided, the tool will also ensure that a minimum number of seats are available for your fare classes. This criteria overrides the Cabin criteria. This is optional.

The list of results displayed will include sortable columns for Flight, Carrier, Departure, Arrival, Equipment, and Flight Rating. Performing a 'mouse over' on the colored seating boxes will cause additional seating details to be shown. You will also be able to Show/Hide codeshares using the designated button.

Flight Availability results do not include every possible flight combination that meets your route criteria. The accuracy of available seating is dependent on the data provided to FlightStats by its availability data sources. Flight Availability does not support all airlines. American Airlines has opted-out, their flight options will not be shown.
